Driemond lock
The bridge and lock in the village Driemond (close to Amsterdam) are outdated.
That is why the bridge is being completely renovated. In order to divert traffic during the major renovation, Janson Bridging Nederland is installing a tem- porary bridge next to the existing bridge on behalf of contractor Griekspoor.
Pedestrians, cyclists and car traffic can use the temporary bridge during the renovation.
The type JSB200 from Janson Bridging was chosen for the temporary bridge with a span of 33 meters and a width of 10 m.
he steel and wooden lock gates were removed earlier in 2023. The second phase of the project will start at the end of 2023. The existing drawbridge will be demolished and removed. Construction of the new foundation will also start.
