Stavå bridge

The emergency department of the Norwegian Statens Vegvesen have erected a JSK bridge with ramps in an emergency situation in April 2021.

The Stavå existing bridge was built during the last world war in 1942 in the mainroad E6, 91 km south of Trondheim. The total length of the existing bridge is approx. 103,4 m with a main span of 53m. After inspection, the existing bridge showed some problems on the south abutment.

To quickly open the bridge for traffic again, the Statens vegvesen Emergency department have chosen to use an JSK 15,7m with 9,0m long ramps to temporarily overbridge one of the spans. The bridge is part of the bridge emergency stock of the Statens Vegvesen, delivered by Janson Bridging.
